We offer guitar lessons for beginners and advanced player alike. We have two teachers. Local musician Matt Brown teaches beginners and Kirk Andrews teaches intermediate and advanced students.

Matt starts students off with the Mel Bay Method Grade 1. This is the world's most popular study guide for learning modern pick style guitar. He also teaches tablature, chords and the basics of soloing. Lesson are $20 for a half hour and most students choose to have one lesson each week. Matt has played music locally since the 80's in everything from Rock bands to Reggae bands to cruise ships. He currently plays the Tarpon Springs area as a solo act playing guitar, keyboards, bass and drums.

Kirk will teach experienced guitar players how to play lead using alternate picking, enhanced techniques to increase speed and accuracy, fundamental modes and harmonic minor scales. Kirk has been teaching locally for ten years and playing for twenty five. Kirk has played in a band that opened for Pantera and has jammed with Eric Johnson. His influences include Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Yngwie Malmsteen. Kirk does one hour sessions for $40.

Both Kirk and Matt are passionate about teaching and tailor the study plan to each individual student. Students will need to provide their own guitar (acoustic or electric) and lessons are give in the store. Amps for the lessons are provided by Metal Shop Music.
