EMG Custom SA/SA/89 w/SPC Loaded Prewired Pickguard for Fender Strat

These are custom pickups pre wired to Metal Shop Music specs. There is a protective plastic over the pickguard, it is not damaged.

NECK AND MID: The EMG-SA pickup combines the attributes of the early Strat* sound but with an added midrange response and higher output, giving it "bell-like" ringing harmonics and increased sustain. One single Alnico bar magnet delivers classic overdrive with a smooth midrange distortion, while still retaining the familiar high-end of a single-coil pickup. These characteristics provide greater versatility than what is normally found in single-coil pickups.

BRIDGE: Featuring two pickups in one, the EMG 89 is loaded with Alnico V magnets and has separate preamps each providing custom outputs for both dual coil and single coil modes. In dual coil mode, the sound is rich, warm and powerful, but still very clear and is similar to the 85. The single coil mode, accessed via the included push pull pot, delivers the traditional Strat single coil sound: bright, airy, and chimey, and is similar to our SA. In either mode, the clean sound is gorgeously pristine and has a lot of presence. Used equally in bridge and neck positions, whether you are playing Hard Rock or Smooth Jazz, you can get it all with this beautifully balanced and versatile pickup.

SPC Circuit: The SPC or "Strat Presence Control" is often called the fat control. The original intent of the SPC was to turn the tone of a single-coil pickup into a dual-coil. This is accomplished by boosting the gain in a broad mid-band fashion and reducing the highs. The result is a fatter, louder tone from any single coil pickup, but you can also use it on a humbucking to give you a high output, really fat tone that's great for slide guitar.
